Congratulations on your engagement!

This is a fascinating time for you as well as being a wee bit overwhelming. However, with over a decade of experience shooting weddings, I come with knowledge and experience on knowing how to make your wedding day run smoothly without a single hiccup. Working closely with your other suppliers, we make it our priority to ensure that you have the time of your life whilst documenting and creating stunning wedding photography. Over the years, I have collected many awards for my signature style. My wedding portraits are striking and timeless and have the real wow factor, where my documentary work captures the stories and magic of your wedding day.

One of my greatest pleasures in wedding photography is creating beautiful portraits, which are always carefully choreographed to create natural and elegant images of you both.  This is genuinely a lovely experience, as a little direction goes a long way. When we're not photographing your portraits, I work quietly in the background capturing emotive images that will capture your wedding day as you will want to remember, full of love and laughter.

So how do I manage your wedding photography? We meet a month before your wedding to run through your day at your chosen wedding venue. Here we scout out all the beautiful locations, interesting backdrop and of course see how we can capture the grandeur of your venue.  We then have a wee photoshoot that helps you to feel relaxed and confident in front of me and my camera.  This is great fun to do and you are very welcome to those images.  Once we have nailed how we are going to create your unique portraits you know that you can put your trust in me to work quickly and decisively, having loads of fun on your wedding day, but most importantly allowing you to maximise your time with your family and friends.

Below is a guide to show you how I manage your photography throughout the day.

10:30 -    Arrive at the wedding venue to photograph the bridal preparations, documenting the bride and bridesmaid(s) during hair and make-up preparations.  Photograph the detail in the dress, shoes, flowers, along with other special items.

12:00 -    Once ready and in the wedding dress, we will photograph signature portraits along with signature group shots with the bridesmaids and close family.

12:45 -    Meet the groom at the venue to photograph the groom's signature portraits, along with his entourage.  I use a mixture of styles, creating natural and contemporary images. During this time, I'll also capture the details such as the wedding rings, order of service, flowers and guests arriving.

13:20 -    Document the arrival of the bride and the few moments before the beginning of the ceremony.

13:30 -    Ceremony begins.  Photograph the bride walking down the aisle.  Bride & groom exchanging vowels, rings and signing of the register.

14:00 -    Photograph the newlyweds walking down the aisle to be greeted by their guests.  Photograph bride and groom mingling with guests, capturing the excitement and emotion of the day.

14:30 -     Group Shots - First I'll photograph the whole wedding party, allowing your guests to return to the drinks reception.  The bride & groom shots with close family & friends will follow. Please note, that I suggest no more than six group shots as many more will affect the overall feel to your final album and eat into precious time.  It can be quite hard to organise six group shots so if you wish I can help you make your list.  Whilst taking the group shots, I like to mix styles using both traditional and contemporary compositions.

14:45 -      Friends and Family return to the drinks reception, to allow you both to have 20 – 30 minutes to photograph your portrait shots.  Please note that these shots are discussed prior to the wedding day, allowing for fun, relaxed photographs.  Once the portraits are taken, I shall continue to photograph the drinks reception, along with the details that provide the backdrop to your wedding day.

16:00 -     Guests to be seated for the wedding breakfast.

16:30 -     Wedding breakfast.  Photograph the announcement of the bride & groom entering the dining hall, followed by the speeches.  Guests prefer not to be photographed during the meal so no photographs are taken, unless the bride and groom are walking the room, talking to guests.

19:00 -     Evening guests begin to arrive.

19:30 -     Photograph the cutting of the cake, followed by the first dance.  I'll stay for a further 30 minutes capturing your guests dancing on the dance floor, adding a nice feel to the end of your album.
