The concept of Atrophy came to me as the UK was in the middle of the housing crisis. I had always wanted to work with fine art nudes, and combining a political landscape with art nudes was an interesting juxtaposition. The idea was to depict the loss of life in abandoned homes, which of course would have been full of love at one point.
